Platform Status

Once Sold is an online advertising and listing platform only. we do not

  • process payments
  • hold or transfer funds
  • act as an agent for buyers or sellers
  • verify the accuracy of listings
  • guarantee the quality, authenticity, or condition of items

Payments

All payments are arranged privately between buyer and seller. Once Sold does not:

  • facilitate payments
  • provide escrow services
  • offer dispute resolution
  • guarantee transactions

Users are solely responsible for choosing their preferred payment method.

📍 Where payment protection services (such as PayPal Goods & Services) are used, the terms of that provider apply directly between the parties.

User Responsibility

By using Once Sold, users acknowledge and agree that:

  • they are responsible for conducting their own due diligence
  • they enter transactions at their own risk
  • they are responsible for verifying the identity of the other party
  • they are responsible for arranging delivery or collection
  • they are responsible for complying with applicable UK consumer and trading laws

Once Sold does not monitor or supervise transactions.

Risk & Fraud

Once Sold is not responsible for:

  • non-payment
  • misrepresentation of items
  • counterfeit goods
  • loss or damage during shipping
  • fraudulent activity
  • failed or disputed transactions
⚠️ Users must take appropriate steps to protect themselves.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Once Sold shall not be liable for any:

  • direct loss
  • indirect loss
  • loss of profit
  • loss of opportunity
  • consequential or incidental damages
  • disputes between users

arising from the use of the platform or any transaction between users.

🔹 Nothing in this policy excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

  • buyer interest
  • sale completion
  • payment
  • authenticity of enquiries

Listing an item does not guarantee any of the above.

Indemnity

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Once Sold from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or legal fees arising out of:

  • their listings
  • their transactions
  • breach of these terms
  • violation of any law or third-party rights

Recommended Payment Guidance

To reduce risk, users may consider:

payment methods offering buyer and seller protection only dispatching items once cleared funds are received using tracked and insured postage meeting in public places for collection

Once Sold does not endorse or guarantee any payment provider.
